So WOT?

After the interview and writing the personality profiles , so what now? We assessed what were the interview group’s strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats during the whole interview with Mark Hora. Of course, we should always criticize ourselves on what we did. Part of the learning and growth process is criticism. No egos, just note taking.

We have regained our interviewing skills because of this activity. We miss this kind of activities where we interact with people and challenges our communication skills, both verbally and non-verbally. In addition, even though we planned the interview early, we actually went with the flow by doing adlib questions that aren’t part of the plan for more engagement in the interviewee. These manifest our role as communication students and soon to be professional media practitioners one day.

However, for the threats and weaknesses, it is mostly related to resources due to the effects of the pandemic like inconsistent internet connectivity, technical difficulties, faulty microphone input, bug on the communication platform and most importantly, there should’ve been more engagement and interaction if the interview was done face to face but we can’t complain because of the current situation of the country. I guess we miss face to face classes.
