2 PASSIONS IN 1: Journalism Skills (Blog Entry No. 1)

I want to be the person who wants to be fulfilled in his passions in life. My heart belongs to writing and music. Someday, I want that “journalist-artist-musician” tagged upon my name or even in my twitter bio. My pessimistic self would say it is just a pipe dream but whenever I watch this person, that dream can be possibly spark into reality.

I admire Lourd De Veyra as he is a jack of all trades in the new media. He is a musician also which for me became from hobby to passion. He is flexible as a TV / documentary host, radio host of RockEd Radio. Ever since I was at a kid, I always watch him in the television with his program History with Lourd. I like the way he talks whenever he is in broadcast and podcasts; he speaks intellectually with a mix of his sense of humor. I am also a fond of his band Radioactive Sago Project blasting their tunes whenever I want to relax.

In the end, I want my life to be documenting and sharing stories to the world as well as voicing myself out through the art of music just like Lourd. He is definitely an icon and an inspiration for me. There should be no passion left behind. The engine should keep on going. You just got to love the grind; the grind to fulfilment. Without those passions, then what is my purpose in life?
